TSUNAMI – a better photo. He is the son of
BOOF below. He has the speed to run down and kill dingoes. He has another unusual ability to round up a mob of pigs and bail the lot until other dogs arrived.
B OOF – 3 LEGGED LEGEND. One of the stories about him was the time when a number of dogs had a big boar in the middle of a dam and could not get hold of him. BOOF was let off the ute and leaped at full speed off the bank emptying half the dam [slight exaggeration] and smashing head-on into the boar – no more problem. BOOF died earlier this year at 61/2 years, probably of heart attack or perhaps snake bite. There has been a lot of great dogs called BOOF. Johno’s 1st Bull Arab he got from me in about 1974 was also called BOOF and one of the best I ever owned was also called BOOF. There may be something in the name or maybe it comes down to the fact that you call a dog BOOF if it has a big boof head and the head makes the dog. Sadly the bull in the Bull Arab head is being lost and too much pointer is coming out and this leads to a loss of reliable hardness. This is a matter that needs every good breeders attention. Already I believe it is getting pretty hard to find dogs that you could rely on to hold wild cattle let alone a big rodeo bull. Breeders need to remember this – the BULL ARAB IS 1/2 BULL TERRIER AND THE NAME STARTS WITH THE WORD BULL. For those who do not understand this and keep breeding pointer headed dogs then they should stop calling their dogs BULL ARAB and simply call them ARAB – because their dogs heads look more like an arab horse than like a true BULL ARAB.
GHOH ALL THE ” BOOF ” BULL ARABS OUT THERE.
